John James Racing can build your car from the ground up with multiple options and upgrades to fit your budget and driving ability. We can cater your build to fit the requirements of specific race groups and race governing bodies.

Coordination Process

Every project starts with a conversation to lay out the goals of the build.  We will analyze your goals for the car and put together an estimate for you that will be cost effective and tailored to your racing needs.  Already have a car?  No problem, we can factor that into a program that fits your needs.

Reporting and Cost Control

During the construction process, we will provide up-to-date information and photo documentation so you can stay current with the build.

Pricing and Payment Structure

Ground-up builds start around $90k and go from there depending on additional features and performance upgrades.  Before the start of the project, together we can put together a payment timeline that is comfortable with you.

Build Specs

    Totally stripped to bare metal.
    Seam Welded in critical suspension areas.
    Removed unnecessary brackets, tabs, and sheet metal.
    Full point to point roll cage built with NASCAR type door protection using 1.5 DOM (1.25 wall) tubing.
    Sunroof was replaced with stripped light weight style roof.
    Welded front belly pan installed.

    Bilstein coil over front struts.  Raised Spindles 19-27mm.
    Eibach springs 2.25 front 325-500lbs.
    Front 930/911 Aluminum hubs.
    Brakes are mid 80 930 Big Black brake calipers ducted by 2.5 inch ducting to calipers.
    Ceramic impregnated pads (size is time period correct).
    Tarett-Hollow Fully adjustable center sway bars (Factory RSR style).
    Delron Solid bushings.
    Mono-ball adjustable strut mounts.
    23mm large master cylinder (or dual master with adjustable bias bar).
    Time period correct trailing arms.
    Tarett-Hollow Fully adjustable center sway bars (Factory RSR style).
    All new bearing sets (rear arm).
    Factory CV joints and axels
    Rear 930 brake calipers (time period correct)
    Vented rotors.
    Monoball style rear suspension pickups with adjustable camber boxes.
    Rear Bilstein coil over shocks.
    Rear Eibach springs (500-800 lbs).
    Brand new 3.0 Twin Plug engine with matching heads and case.
    Eibach custom valve springs.
    Heads ported and matched.
    Forged 3L crank.
    12.5-1 J&E custom pistons.
    WEB design Cams.
    1 ¾ Custom headers (3 into 2 into 1).
    JNB Twin Plug Distributor.
    Large oil cooler with prescreen and oil temp thermostat (depending on environment).
    46mm Weber IDA carburetors (or PMO’s).
    All oil and fuel lines are steel braided with AN fittings.
Horsepower will be roughly +/-310 bhp @7200rpm and approximately 60-80 hours is expected before an engine refresh is necessary.

    Body panels of original molds from ‘70s Vasek-Polak Porsche.
    IMSA front spoiler and original whale tail for GTO Group.
    Doors are cut and lightened
    DOT front windshield with Lexan sides and rear.
Gear Box:
    915 Gearbox
    Rebuilt to factory specs (gears 1-4 are stock with a shorter 5th).
    Limited Slip quaife (or true LSD option).
    Fresh syncros, dog rings, and sliders.
    WEVO/Rennshift or similar type billet shifter
Fuel Cell:
    ATL 15 gallon aluminum case with sending units and duel pickups (all steel braided line with AN fittings).
    MOMO steering wheel with quick-release.
    Standard gauges with Autometer sport comp 2 tach.
    SCCA master cut of switch.
    Full Fire-Sense 4L fire suppression system with pull cable.
    Seat and belts to be supplied by client
Wheels and Tires:

Any additional parts and modifications will be agreed upon by both parties prior to execution and billed accordingly.
